Two years ago my friend Amna, a talented local photographer, took a big leap and relocated to Dublin. In May she was home for a quick visit, and I was excited to catch up and hear how life in Ireland has been treating her.

Amna loves photography and I love pizza, so naturally we decided to do a little photo shoot followed by a pizza date at Tennessy Willems in Hintonburg (TW is my favourite 'za in town, I eat there once a week).

We and I met up and it was like no time had passed at all. We'd met years ago while I was working events and she was photographing them, and it was as if we'd just seen each other last week.

Amna's such an easy gal to chat with, and I think it's a big reason why her clients feel at ease stepping in front of her camera lens. I'm a total dorkus malorkus in photos, but she made me feel comfortable and way less awkward. She's often back in Ottawa and Toronto visiting family, so be sure to keep an eye out for her mini portrait sessions: she books up quickly!
