I met photographer Amna Hakim in 2011: I was running an event planning and PR company and she was shooting beautiful weddings and events around town. From the moment I met her I was struck by her warm character and her incredible eye for great photos.
She shot weddings and events all over the world yet was always on her A-game, on top of every detail, and one of the cheeriest people you'd ever meet. This is she:
Years passed. I moved on to other work and Amna moved to Ireland with her hubby. We kept in touch though, and I loved following along with her adventures in her new home city of Dublin.
Amna sent me a note a little while back saying she was headed back to Ottawa for a visit, and that she'd love to get together to catch up and do some shooting. Woohoo!
