meet the lovelies
The Lovelies behind the lens are Jamie and Erin, who have each been passionate about photography for a long, long time.
Jamie first knew she wanted to be a photographer while on a trip to the Dominican Republic. She was inspired by the culture and the many beautiful little faces in a place that was totally new to her. And she’s never put her camera down since.
She describes herself as a natural light photographer with a documentary feel, and having been lucky to work with her a few times, I totally agree. Also: she’s a brand new kitty mamma! From one cat lady to another, congrats on the arrival of little Pancakes, Jamie!
Erin has been enthralled by cameras since she was just a wee thing. She would tote around a disposable camera, snapping pics of her family, friends, and her Barbies (#respect). A few years later on a school trip to Italy, she was heartbroken when her digital camera gave up the ghost at one of the most beautiful sites in the world: the Piazza del Duomo in Florence.
Her dad had sent her on the trip with his trusty Pentax and a few rolls of film, so she gave it a whirl. And amazingly, even though she’d only shot on film a few times before, it all seemed natural. Erin loves finding beauty in the small and simple moments, and loves the challenge of working with natural light.
